Enabling “Hide notifications while presenting” will stop all notifications during presentation mode. App notifications will be again activated automatically once you leave the presentation mode. I believe that the option has been taken out as I have also successfully updated to 1803 and do not see the option either. You might want to tick the option off to get notifications from apps and other senders if you don't want any to show while presenting.
